Playgroup

Come for Challah, grape juice and fun, as we prepare for Shabbat with our newborns, babies and toddlers.
We will be having our weekly play group at Congregation Beth El every Friday from June 9 through August 25th at 9:30 AM. We will meet in the Synagogue foyer or we will have trips to Cranbury Park, the Beardsley Zoo, a pool, and the Beach. New Playgroup:            We are setting up a standing playdate at Beth El on Friday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Babies and kids from newborn through 2 years old can come together to play and celebrate Shabbat. We will provide grape juice and challah. Please join us for a morning of fun!

18 – 24 months:            Our Friday morning playgroup meets every Friday from 10 to 11 at various locations. We have done lots of great activities over the past year, including tie dyeing t-shirts, picking apples, playing in the sukkah, and learning baby massage and yoga.  Please join us any week by calling Kathie Oberst at 840-1605 to see where we will be meeting that week.

6 – 12 months:                        Sara Jamison, from Jewish Family Services has expressed an interest in repeating her very successful program from last year, entitled, “Shema for Moms, Listening for Moms.”  She leads prayers, singing, and children’s games, and facilitates an open and helpful dialogue among new moms.  For more information, please contact Sara at sarahava@optonline.net

Birth  - 18 months:            There are new babies in our congregation, and now that winter is coming, it is a good time for the new babies and parents to have a fun, inviting indoor place to gather and learn.  We invite all new babies to our mishpachah room every Monday morning from 10 to 11. Bring a dairy or pareve snack, and come play with your baby in your spiritual home.  For more information, please call Sharon DeFala at 852-9571.

Newborn - 24 Months:           There is a a weekly playgroup for newborn to 2 year olds that meets on Fridays from 9:30 – 11:00 AM in the Social Hall. When the weather is nice we will visit Cranbury Park. We will meet during the summer for a day at the pool. Join us for pre-Shabbat celebration, we will have challah & grape juice.
