Baum's Bulletin
Shalom Congregation Beth El,
This will be my last bulletin article for the year as well as my last month at Congregation Beth El. I want to take this time to thank the whole congregation for welcoming me into Congregation Beth El. I feel that we have built a good base for our youth program this year and I hope that things will continue to improve in the future. I have enjoyed my many roles in the congregation as the rabbinic intern from teaching the high school students, leading youth services and working with the youth to leading the Friday night service for the whole congregation. It has been a great learning experience that I will cherish for years to come.
May 7th will be our last day of high school followed by our last youth program of the year. We will be holding elections for our student board for the upcoming year at this meeting. These officers will lead the youth of the congregation with innovative programs for the upcoming year. I invite anyone who is interested in running for president, vice president, or secretary/treasurer to email me at youth@congbethel.org or if you have any questions. In addition to elections, we will be going as a group to the community wide Israel celebration. We need some volunteer drivers from the parents to help out. If you can, please email me. We will also be having a youth service on Saturday, May 13th for our 4th through 7th graders. I hope that you can come to shul as a family and enjoy the many services that we offer.
Once again, I thank all of you for the warmth you have shown me. I hope to be in touch with the congregation for years to come and if anyone visits Jerusalem next year, where I will be spending the year, please look me up. Thank you very much and have a great summer.
Sincerely,
David Baum, Rabbinic Intern, Congregation Beth El
